Leonard Ancill Carpenter, 79, of Doylestown, OH, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at Oak Pointe Nursing and Rehab, in Baltic OH. Leonard was born on February 17, 1946, in Webster Springs WV to Sampson S. and Mabel Virginia {Carpenter} Carpenter.

He went into the Army in 1965 and served in Vietnam and active duty until 1967, then in Army reserves until 1971. He married Nancy Clark on June 24th, 1969, at Hot Springs VA. They bought a home in Doylestown, OH and lived there the rest of their lives. Leonard worked at the B&W Foundry in Barberton, OH for over 30 years building bombs. He could fix nearly anything but grumbled while he did it. He liked to hunt, fish and camp. He liked flea markets, Cleveland Browns and Indians and scratch off lottery tickets.

Leonard will be deeply missed by his children Joe (Deanna) Clark and Jill (Terry) Dobrich; grandchildren, Tera, Kaley, Stephanie, Dakota, and Seth; great-grandchildren Authur James, Bentlee, Briella, Elsie, Luca; his remaining sister Annabeth Riffle and his nieces, Lori, Cindy, Debbie and Katie. The whole family still lives in Webster Springs, WV. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, parents, six brothers and six sisters.
