Mr. Leonard "Wayne" Jones passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, October 2, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born July 26, 1949 in Nella, Arkansas to Marvin Jones and Daisy (Little) Jones.
Never a stranger to hard work, Wayne provided for his family by being a long-distance truck driver, backhoe and dozer operator, cement finisher, and ultimately, owning and operating Jones Ready Mix. Professionally, he was known for his honesty, impeccable work ethic, and kindness to others. Regardless of the size of the work project, Wayne always considered his family to be his greatest accomplishment.
During his time, he loved deer and fox hunting with his family and friends, listening to his hounds run, and reading Louis Lamour books. He was known to be a man of quiet strength, deep faith, devotion to family, and an intrinsic humility.
He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Jones, mother Daisy Jones, and brother James Jones. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife Linda (Johnson) Jones of almost 54 years. His son Jeff Jones of Mena; his daughter LeAnn and husband David Dilbeck of Mena; nephew Joshua Johnson and wife Kristina; grandchildren: USAF LT. Dustin Dilbeck (Minot, ND), Lexi Dilbeck (Fayetteville, AR); one great-grandson Dakota Jones; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers are: Josh Johnson, Westin Johnson, Ronnie Rosson, Randall Beaty, Bobby Sanders, and Dale Howard. Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. Patrick Fox, Gerald Johnson, and Danny Hansbrough. Family visitation will be from 5 pm – 7 pm Thursday, October 9 at Beasley Wood. Services will be held at 10 am Friday, October 10, at the Beasley Wood Chapel led by Bro. Donnie Jewell. Burial service will follow at Concord Cemetery at Ink. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Mr. Leonard, please visit our floral store.
