Mr. Leonard McSwain III, age 51 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
He is survived by his children, Parker Leonard McSwain and Gracie Mae McSwain, both of Shelby, NC, a sister, Allison Edwards and husband Scott of Shelby, NC, a brother, Spencer McSwain of Shelby, NC, and a loving partner, Lajeana Lovelace of Hickory, NC.
Born June 26, 1972, in Cleveland County, NC, Leonard was the son of Leonard Lafayette McSwain Jr. and Judy Biggerstaff McSwain. Leonard was a dedicated and loving family man. He worked at Leonard McSwain Septic Tank since he was sixteen years old. Leonard enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed trips to the beach and traveling. Leonard will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 8:00pm Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 22, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Mr. Cody Dorsey. A burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
