Gary Richard Stroupe, a loving father and cherished friend, peacefully passed away at his residence in Forest City on August 6, 2025, after a long illness. Born on March 8, 1947, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Gary graced the world with his warmth and spirit for over 78 years.
A dedicated professional, Gary built a fulfilling career as a construction painter and electrician. His skilled hands not only transformed spaces but also crafted connections with those who had the privilege of working alongside him. He approached each task with a sense of pride and an unwavering commitment to excellence, leaving a lasting impact in the community he served.
Gary was a devoted father to his beloved children, Gary Anthony Stroupe and Toni Lopez-Banda, who, along with her husband Efrain, will forever carry the lessons of love and resilience he instilled in them. The bond they shared was a testament to his nurturing spirit and will continue to inspire them in the days to come.
While Gary's legacy is beautifully alive in his children, he was also shaped by the profound love of those who predeceased him, including his parents, James and Naomi Stroupe, who provided the foundations upon which he built his life. His heart felt the emptiness left by the passing of his son Chris, his twin brother George, and his sister Kathy, each of whom took a piece of him with them, yet remained forever in his thoughts.
Through the lens of family, friendships, and his steadfast work ethic, Gary Richard Stroupe leaves behind a world touched by his kindness and fortitude. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit will undoubtedly continue to guide and watch over those he loved, reminding them of the importance of compassion, hard work, and unwavering support.
As we celebrate Gary's life, we remember not just the man he was, but the love he shared and the lives he enriched. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered, as his legacy lives on within his family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Gary.
