Shelley Stroupe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder Hall Chapel on Oct. 28, 2025.
Shelley J. Stroupe, age 74, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at her home in Marion, Ohio.
On September 8, 1951 Shelley was born in Marion, Ohio. The daughter of the late Tom W. and Opal D. (Sharp) Stroupe. Shelley earned her education from Marion Harding High School and graduated with the class of 1969. After school, Shelley went on to be a Loan Processor at the local National City Bank and Fahey Bank. After retiring, Shelley continued to keep in touch with her colleagues from the banks as if she never left. Shelley was apart of various Lady Fraternities in Marion including: Eagles, Elks, Moose.
Shelley had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special. Whether it was a birthday, a school performance, a big game, or any milestone large or small, Shelley was always there, cheering from the stands, clapping in the audience, or standing by with her ever-present smile. She never missed an opportunity to show her love and pride in those she held dear.
In her family, Shelley was known as the heart behind every card, note, and thoughtful gesture. No birthday or holiday ever passed without a message from her which was a beautiful reminder that she was thinking of you. Her cards were more than paper and ink; they were expressions of warmth, kindness, and an unwavering sense of connection that will be deeply missed.
A proud Ohioan, Shelley's enthusiasm for her favorite teams was unmatched. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Reds, cheering them on with steadfast loyalty through every season.
Shelley also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid golfer and bowler, always ready for a friendly game and the laughter that came with it. Her sportsmanship, humor, and warmth made her a favorite companion both on and off the course.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved nephew and niece: Matthew (Melissa) Stroupe and Laura Stroupe; great-niece and nephews: Carson, Cody, Caitlyn, and Huxton Stroupe; and sister-in-law, Kathy Stroupe.
In addition to her parents, Shelley was preceded in death by her brother, James E. "Tank" Stroupe; and sister Lois Stroupe.
Services are being observed privately by the family.
