Leonette T. (Hebert) Gagne, 88, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in UMass Memorial Medical Center-Belmont Campus, after a period of declining health, with her family by her side.
Born in Ashburnham on January 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Antonia (Ares) Hebert. Leonette worked as a cook for various establishments throughout the years until her retirement.
A devoted parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, Leonette found joy in simple pleasures. She loved taking trips to Foxwoods, playing BINGO most days of the week, cooking for family and friends, and visiting the ocean. Known for her humor and warm spirit, she always enjoyed sharing a good joke. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished the many memories made together over the years.
Leonette is survived by her daughters, Michelle LaBonte and her husband Ronald of Gardner, Kerry Galvan of Gardner, Rhonda Lison and her husband George of Gardner, and Kandace Smart of Gardner; her sons, Michael Gagne of Gardner and Edmond Gagne of Gardner; twenty grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves two in-laws, Harold Crossley of Colorado and Patricia Portrie of Maine, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rene Gagne; two sons, James and Craig Gagne; two sisters, Paulette Taft and June Hebert; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Gagne; and a son-in-law, John Smart.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in Annunciation Parish, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
