Paul William Kucinskas, 77, of Gardner, passed away peacefully while at home, Monday, October 27, 2025.
Born in Gardner on April 14, 1948, Paul was the son of the late Peter and Simone (Garceau) (Ares) Kucinskas. A proud graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth High School, Class of 1966, Paul devoted many years of service to the Helen Mae Sauter School community, where he worked diligently as a janitor.
Paul was a proud United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam and Persian Gulf eras, serving his country from 1968 to 1978, and later with the Massachusetts Air National Guard from 1991 to 1993. Throughout his distinguished service, he received numerous honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Air Force Longevity Service Award.
Paul was a devoted parishioner of Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and an active member of the Gardner VFW, where he proudly served as past commander. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-playing games on his phone, enjoying his daily coffee from Cumberland Farms, and, above all, cherishing time spent with his family.
Paul is survived by his sister, Carol LeBlanc of Gardner; his niece, Sandra Hurley of Beverly; and his nephew, Marc LeBlanc of Laurinburg, North Carolina; one great-niece Bethany Thompson; one great-nephew Derek Hurley; and several cousins.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
