LEROY “BUTCH” EDWARD STIERNAGLE, age 83, of Waseca, died at his home on October 1, 2025.
Born on February 24, 1942, in Waseca, Butch was the son of Ervin and Ethel (Gehring) Stiernagle. He began his education at the rural country school in Wilton Township, Waseca County, and graduated from Waseca Central High School with the Class of 1960. Following his education, Butch served in the United States Army National Guard for two years before receiving an honorable discharge.
A lifelong farmer, Butch had a deep passion for raising crops, beef cattle, and hogs. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilton Township, Waseca County.
Butch is survived by his children, Dan Stiernagle and Jenny Stiernagle of Rochester; granddaughters, Jasmine and Alexis Stiernagle; brothers, Donald Stiernagle of Wisconsin and Richard Stiernagle of rural Owatonna; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanette Stiernagle and Phyllis Stiernagle; brothers, Harlan (Marlene) Stiernagle and Stanley Stiernagle; and sister-in-law, Norma Stiernagle.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
