Leroy Elvin Ketchum

Leroy Elvin Ketchum, 81, of San Saba, Texas, joined his Heavenly Father on October 3, 2025. A visitation for Leroy will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the San Saba City Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Barry Fikes. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

He was born on August 14, 1944, in San Saba to Elvin D. Ketchum and Bernice Felts Ketchum. On September 24, 1966, Leroy married the love of his life, Gracie, beginning a marriage filled with laughter, love, and lifelong companionship. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in hard work, family, and the values of small-town Texas.

Leroy spent 32 years working as a master electrician for El Paso Natural Gas, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature. After retiring, he continued to serve his community by working for the County of San Saba for eight years. Outside of work, Leroy lived life to the fullest. He raised and trained cutting horses, enjoyed roping, rodeos, and working cattle, and loved nothing more than being outdoors. Whether he was hauling his kids to rodeos, hunting, or sitting outside visiting with friends and loved ones, Leroy found joy in simple pleasures and good company.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, easy smile, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.

Leroy is preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Denton Ketchum; his parents; a brother, Bobby J. Ketchum; and a sister, Barbara Ketchum Brown.

He is survived by his children, a daughter Michelle Ketchum Davis and her Husband Bear Roeder, and a son Shane Ketchum; his grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Brody Davis, Braedin Davis, Cooper Davis, Kynlee Davis, and Easton Davis; as well as sister Yvonne Ketchum Shivener.

Leroy's family and friends take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the land he loved, the people he cherished, and the memories he leaves behind.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Smith, Tracy Womack, Brody Davis, Bear Roeder, Jim Faught, and Braedin Davis.
