Leroy David Moffeit passed away on September 13, 2025, in Midlothian, Texas. He was born on February 26, 1937, in Vinson, Oklahoma, to John David Moffeit and Mildred Pauline Smith. He married Glinda Gail Massey Moffeit on June 14, 1958, in Dallas, Texas.

Leroy honorably served his country in the National Guard for two years, the United States Navy for four years, where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, and the United States Air Force for four and a half years, earning the Air Force Longevity Service Award. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful 30-year career with TXU before retiring.

He was a man of the Baptist faith and was ordained as a deacon in 1969. He was also a dedicated Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

He is survived by his younger son, Rodney Keith Moffeit, and was predeceased by his eldest son, Robert David Moffeit. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Moffeit (Kathy), as well as his sister, Judy Gray. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donny Moffeit and Kent Moffeit.

To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was lovingly known as Papa. He is survived by his grandchildren: Lauren Crow (or, as he called her, "Punkin") (Brock); Elisabeth Connell (whom he nicknamed "Sweet Pea"); Katrina Johnson; and Kyle Johnson (Star). He was predeceased by his grandson, Addison David Moffeit, whom he affectionately called "Buster." He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Brave, Barrett David, and Braylee Crow; George, Simon, and Orion Johnson; and Maribel Trujillo.

He is survived by 13 nieces and nephews, nine grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and six great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews. He was predeceased by one niece and one grand-niece.

He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and community. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family – including 67 wonderful years of marriage – his steadfast faith in Christ, and the many cherished memories we will forever hold dear."agnificent journey.
