Leroy Stark II, 70, passed away at his home in Webb City, on December 23, 2024, after battling multiple health issues for many years. Leroy was born on March 9, 1954, in Carthage, Missouri, to Ellis Lee Sr. & Helen Maxine Stark. Leroy was a jack of all trades. As a young man he bailed hay and shoveled snow. He went on to own his own business painting barns and silos and then to laying asphalt. He loved working and meeting new people. He never met a stranger. If you didn't have a smile, he'd give you his. He loved to sing and dance and spend time with his family. Leroy's pride and joy were his children Gipsy & Jonathan Rider, Shannon & Makala Myers, Regina and Francisco Garcia, Shawn Houston, Adam Houston, Tabitha Reyes, Leroy Ellis, Lacy Stark III, and Helen Stark.
On August 5, 1993, he married the love of his life Angela Kay, in Miami, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his siblings who he loved dearly Theoda Smith, Karen and Randy Tatum, Everett and Debbie Stark, Tommy and Debbie Stark, Tammy Stark, Teddy Stark, Carol Stark, and Cara Borland, Michelle and Nelson Boswell.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis Lee Stark Sr. and Helen Maxine Stark (Carnes); two brothers Ellis Lee Stark Jr. and Victor Eugene Stark; and two grandsons Zachary Ryan Gibby and Blayne Roger Gibby.
Leroy was loved by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins, and friends. Leroy had a huge impact on his family, he was wholeheartedly loved and will be missed dearly.
There will be a funeral service for Leroy at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. The visitation will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home. The burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage immediately after the service.
