Leroy Jermaine Thomas

On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Leroy Jermaine Thomas departed this life at his home in Brandy Station, VA. Leroy was born on August 15, 1978, in Warrenton, VA, and attended school in Fauquier County. There, he formed lasting friendships and memories. As a member of Shiloh Baptist Church (Brandy Station), he found strength and joy in his faith and community. Leroy had a passion for football; particularly cheering for the players of the Dallas Cowboys. His love for the game was matched only by his enthusiasm for cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together, often filling the room with his humor, laughter, and joy carried out by his baritone voice. Known for his outspoken personality and huge heart, Leroy was quick to put you in your place but always willing to lend a helping hand. He would give you his last, embodying the true meaning of generosity and kindness. Above all, Leroy cherished his role as a father and grandfather; devoting his energy to fostering a close-knit family built on love, support, and shared memories. Leroy is survived by his parents, Fletcher and Mary Hackley; his biological father, Leroy Johnson; his life partner, Emma Thomas; his children, Amaya Simone Thomas, Mezhi Hull, Chelsea Shaw, Raven Hagens, Annington Lee, and Jameson Thompson; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Cropp, Malachia, Logan, Keiser and Kendall Shaw, Ava and Blake Ward, and Kashton Thompson; his siblings, Jannett Thomas, Yvette Thomas, Rhonda Nelson, Shamika (Koran) Maddox, Crystal Brown, Jessica Brown, Leonia Brown, Kenneth (Dania) Johnson, Kendra Brown, Kobe White and Antwain Johnson. Many loved ones will meet him at Heaven's gate including his grandparents, Robert and Gladys Thomas, and one brother, Shawn Johnson. Leroy leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends with whom he shared a connection. We will all treasure his memory.
