Lesley Tillotson Obituary
Lesley Ann Tillotson, age 66 of Groton, NY passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at home, following a lengthy illness, with her family and her dog, Hope by her side.
Born May 4, 1957 in Cortland, NY she was the daughter of Richard L. and Georgie Parker Tillotson. Lesley was a 1975 graduate of Groton High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Indiana State University in 1980. She then went on to earn two Master's degrees. Lesley was a certified dance instructor with SUNY Alfred and SUNY Brockport and had been a guest artist at Wells College and Geneseo. She also performed at the Kennedy Center. She was assistant to Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton for several years. Lesley also studied at Kripalu Yoga Center in Stockbridge, MA and was very proud to become a certified yoga instructor for cancer patients and survivors.
Lesley is survived by her parents, Richard and Georgie Tillotson of Groton, NY; her sister, Lynn Tillotson Walters of Panama and many cousins.
Services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Burial will be later in McLean Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to McLean Rescue Squad, PO Box, McLean, NY 13102 or Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca or Triphammer Arts, Inc., CRS Barn Studio, 2622 N. Triphammer Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
