Leslie Hardy Flanagan, age 73, resident of Williston, Tennessee and husband of Anita Flanagan, departed this life Saturday morning, March 22, 2025 at his home.
Born November 16, 1951 in Somerville, the son of the late James Leslie Flanagan and Edna Lansdell Flanagan. Hardy received his education from Fayette County High School and was married March 8, 1981 to Anita Diggs Flanagan.
Hardy was an owner/operator truck driver and was a master diesel mechanic for many years. He was known as “Hard Rock” and drove millions of miles over the road. He was also a member of Williston Baptist Church. He enjoyed driving over the road, riding motorcycles, watching the Game Show Network, music, spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Trixie. Hardy will be remembered for being a loving husband, devoted dad and loving grandfather.
Mr. Flanagan is survived by his wife, Anita Flanagan of Williston, TN; four beautiful children: three daughters, Leslie Kee (Bo) of Somerville, TN, Libby Flanagan of Somerville, TN and Cassie Rhea (Chad) of Somerville, TN and his son, Wiley Flanagan (Mandy) of Williston, TN; his sister, Frances Gallaway of Bowling Green, KY; five amazing grandchildren, Trenton Kee (Jessica) of Somerville, TN, AddiBelle Kee of Somerville, TN, Lance Rhea of Somerville, TN, Waylon Hardy Hylton of Somerville, TN and Wiley Jace Flanagan of Williston, TN; two bonus grandchildren, Tanner Hylton of Fort Drum, NY and Codee Hylton of Jackson, TN; and two precious great-granddaughters, Blakeleigh Kee and Emmie Kee. Hardy was so proud of his son-in-laws and daughter-in-law. He loved them as his own children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Howcroft and four brothers, Sam Taylor, Ralph Schrimsher, Lee Ottis Flanagan and James Van Flanagan.
Memorial Services for Mr. Flanagan were held at 3 P.M. Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Rickey Burns and Bro. Royce Reeves officiating. Remarks were given by Cassie Rhea.
Honorary pallbearers were Perry Wilson, Randy Glover, Josh Jenkins, Johnny Cox, Daniel Lansdell, Greg Miles, Tommy McCaskill and Alan German.
