Shirley Nadine (Lee) Stevens, age 89, resident of Williston, Tennessee, entered eternal rest Sunday, July 27, 2025, peacefully in her home.
Shirley was born November 20, 1935 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Matt and Tessie Lee. She was preceded in death not only by her parents, but by seven brothers, eleven sisters and her beloved husband, Lawrence Stevens.
Shirley is survived by her brother, Larry Lee of Knoxville, TN; her son, Dennis (Sheila) Eddington of Williston, TN; her daughter and caregiver, Patricia Tims of Williston, TN; six grandchildren, Tammy (Richey) Joyner, Robin (Cole) Spicer, Bobby Eddington, Lisa (John) Tims, Eric Eddington (Loretta) and April (Randy) Smith; fourteen great-grandchildren, Kayla (Ryan) Logan, Jacob Eddington, Madison Penke, Joel Garrison, Noah (Cameron) Spicer, Tabitha Eddington, Hayden Holter, Nick Eddington, Skylar Smith, Elijah Tims, Riley Cedell, Autumn Eddington, Randy “Tuff” Smith III and Julius Smith; five great-great-grandchildren and expecting her sixth in November; and a host of others she considered her children and grandchildren.
Shirley was a child of God, an avid University of Tennessee football fan and a loyal Donald Trump supporter. She loved kids, animals, flowers and coconut cake.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Stevens were held at 2 P.M. Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Chris Pulliam officiating. Interment followed in the Perry Cemetery at Laconia.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Cole Spicer, John Hightower, Bobby Eddington, Eric Eddington, Noah Spicer, Nick Eddington and Elijah Tims. Honorary pallbearers were Les Holte, Jimmy Morgan, Joel Garrison, Jacob Eddington, Hayden Holter, Mason Logan, Houston Logan, Elliott Logan, Tuff Smith and Julius Smith.
