Leslie Michelle Moody

Leslie Michelle Wilford Moody, age 43, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 2, 1982, to the late Michael Beasley Wilford and Patricia "Patty" Darlene Starling Wilford. Leslie was raised in Macclenny. She graduated from Baker County High School in 2000 and shortly after married her best friend and forever companion, Chad D. Moody in April of 2004. Leslie was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter and friend. She was most passionate about her family and loved her role as a homemaker as she was able to tend to all her family's needs. Raising her children brought her great joy. Leslie poured love into every home cooked meal; she was known for her famous pound cakes and banana pudding which were a staple at many family gatherings. She was a woman of boundless compassion and filled with a heart that gave endlessly. In 2021, she followed her calling to serve others and started her career at Northeast Florida State Hospital as a Patient Care Assistant. Leslie approached her work with humility and purpose, treating every patient with dignity and respect. She was a nurturer at heart and had a giving nature which were qualities that were vital to her role in the hospital. Leslie loved traveling and had a fondness for cruises. New places, new experiences and treasured time with those she loved most. Whether close to home or far away, she found beauty in the journey and gratitude in the blessed moments. More than anything, Leslie loved her family and cherished making everlasting memories with her children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmothers, Tereatha Wilford and Merline Dobbs-Knabb.

Leslie is survived by husband of 21 years, Chad D. Moody of Macclenny, FL; children, Gavin Austin Moody, Savanna Michelle Moody, and Brody Michael Moody all of Macclenny, FL; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Leslie's Life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Temple, 251 West Ohio Avenue, Macclenny, FL 32063 with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating. Her family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 – 4:00 pm at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
