Leslie Ann (Kollar) Sumner, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on October 20, 2024 at The Willows in Bellevue, OH surrounded by her loving family. “ I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” C.S. Lewis
Leslie sought to know and point others to God in every area of her life. Through her years as an LPN, her joy wasn’t from the knowledge she gained but from the patients she cared for. She was an artist not just for the sake of creating but for pointing others to God through her artwork. She had a heart for teaching and devoted decades of her life to teaching art out of her home. She served many years in ministry, including serving as Children’s Ministry Director at Grace Community Church. Leslie lived a life rooted in Jesus Christ and His teachings. She had compassion for those hurting and ministered to many. She inspired others to find God in the details by making the most ordinary things extraordinary. Leslie believed every challenge, no matter how small, could be a teachable moment.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Robert Sumner, Fremont; children, Craig (Cindy) Sage, Norwalk, OH, Amanda (Nathan) Patterson, Dayton, OH, Crystal (Clay) Kirchenbauer, and Cassidy (Andre) Guzman both of Clyde, OH; grandchildren, Megan, Sidney, Westin, Andrew, Luke, Grant, Indy, Brody, Simon and Nico; siblings, Barbara (Jerry) Rohrbach, Jane (Rick) Vosler, Jim (Gretchen) Kollar, Christine DeWalt and David Kollar and her beloved dog, Oakley.
