Leslie N. Trombley of Newport News, VA went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully at home on March 3rd 2022 surrounded by family. Les was born in Plattsburgh, NY on Oct 11th 1950 to the late Amos and Florence (Monette) Trombley. He was married to his lovely bride of 54 years Georgianna. Les was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. Les cherished any time he got to spend with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching Nascar racing. Les is survived by his wife Georgianna (LaMarche) Trombley his three daughters, Stacey Dorman (former Mike), Sherry (Steve) Gillespie and Shannon (Brad) Bowling. His six grandchildren who adored him and called him "Papa" Jared Dorman, Tyler Gillespie, Brooke Gillespie, Riley Bowling, Samantha Bowling and Colton Bowling. His siblings: Roland (Bonnie) Trombley, Leon (Janice) Trombley, Alva (Dick) Benware, Linda Fifield, Mary Cordaro, Alan (Caryl) Trombley, Angela (Dale) Nephew and sister- in-law Rose Trombley. Many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Amos Trombley Jr., Nancy McRoberts, Lorin Trombley, Rose Nelson, Winifred Frennier and brother-in-Law Dale Fifield.
A rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday March 10, 2022 in Amory Funeral Home
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday March 11, 2022 at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 1:00 PM in Yorktown, VA. Arrangements are entrusted to Amory Funeral home on 410 Grafton Drive Yorktown, VA 23692.
Memorial may be made to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172. www.toysfortots.org
