Lester Lorenzo Gunn

Lester Lorenzo Gunn, age 89, of Madisonville, passed away 5:53 A.M. Friday, November 14, 2025 at his home. Member of Faith Baptist Church, Athens. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served 2 years in the National Guard. Lester was an artist, musician, gardener and loved to fish. He preached over 50 years, doing Missionary work in the Philippines and preached for 18 years at the Tennessee Dept. of Corrections.
Survivors, loving wife of 28 years, Marie Taylor Gunn, Daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Fred Camp, Son, Kenneth Gunn, Grandchildren, Christal (Jeff) Hadorn, Daniel (Misty) Johnson, David & Casey Cane, Great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madison and Andrew Hadorn, Maddox and Bryce Johnson, Kornelia and Dakota Camp, Blake, Lily, Conner and Lauren Morton, Sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Grace Carpenter, Ruby Pettitt, Several nieces & nephews, remembering special friends, Carolyn Best and Matthew Seaman. Preceded in death by first wife, Leona Gunn, parents, Emmitt & Hattie Mae Gunn, brothers, Thomas & James Gunn.
Funeral 7 P.M. Monday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Pastor Casey Hawkins & Pastor Jay Scruggs officiating. Interment 11 A.M. Tuesday, Lee's Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Monday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
