Lester Alan Neal, 65, of Fountain Inn, SC, husband of Ann Neal, gained his heavenly wings on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Born in Fitchburg, MA, he was a son of the late Rev. Carl D. Neal and Elizabeth Jones Neal.
He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School class of 1977. Les enjoyed woodworking and specializing in cabinetry, working in the industry for over 30 years with Hiram Brashier Cabinet Shop and Southeastern Products.
In his spare time he enjoyed shooting pool and singing karaoke with his friends. Watching Clemson football, gardening and bird watching, as well as spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Ann, Lester is survived by six siblings; Carl Neal, Stephen Neal, George Neal, John Neal, James Neal, and Alice Wellams; two children, Jennifer Neal-Kibbe (Michael), Jeffery Neal, and four step children, Tina Nidiffer, Jeff Nidiffer, Tracy Atwood (Jack) and Sharon Thompson; thirteen grandchildren, Levi Williams, John Page, Joey Page, Josh Moon, Aaron Kibbe, J.J. Neal, Jaycie Neal, Nathan Lewis, Ryleigh Lewis, Matthew Nidiffer, Emilee Montgomery, Makayla Atwood, and Andrew Bridges; three great grandchildren, Damon Page, Haley Page, and Alana Prater
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Linda Martin, Walter Neal, Robert Neal, Sandra Matthews, and three grandchildren; Jessica Prater, Gracie Neal, and Brandon Bridges.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home; 1150 N. Main St., Fountain Inn, SC 29644. Interment will follow in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
