Lester Eugene White, Sr.

Lester Eugene White, 81, of Ore City, TX passed away at home on December 16, 2023.  He was born on April 18, 1942, in Stockton, CA to the late Sanford White and Birdie (Gillespie) White.

Lester worked as a Master Electrician as a professional career.  He was a dedicated, hard worker, running electrical for many different buildings and grocery stores, making sure he stayed late and showed up early to ensure that all his work was done correctly and worked properly.  Outside of his professional career, Lester continued to be known as a hard worker - always willing to help anyone in need, in any way that he could. He was humble and never met a stranger.  Lester enjoyed caring for his animals including rabbits, goats, horses, and cows.  He enjoyed collecting nutcrackers, trains, and bells.  He served as a Deacon at Southside Baptist Church in Ore City for many years.  The one thing that made Lester most happy was being able to help at Christmas time being Santa Claus.  For many years he dressed up and helped at several different malls to bring a smile to children's faces being Santa Claus.

Lester is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Renetta White, his children, Patricia, Lester Jr. Dale and Mark as well as two step children; Chandra and David Jr.,  siblings, and grandchildren as well as many other extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Birdie Gillespie White.

Lester's family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date in the Spring, to honor his life.
