Lester W. Wolff passed away peacefully in his 95th year, at Rae-Ann Suburban, on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was born on September, 16, 1926 to parents Rudolph and Anna (nee Proefrock), in Altamont, Illinois.
Lester was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired from GM as a Pipefitter after 30 years. He was a resident of Elyria and formerly of both Cleveland and Sandusky. A member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, he served on the St. Luke's board and was a member of the VFW Color Guard. He found great enjoyment in gardening and word search puzzles. His greatest happiness came from his family, he loved being surrounded by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He will be missed terribly by his loving family.
Lester is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Teschner-Mueller (Mark); grandchildren, Jennifer Gardin (Rob), Michelle Sampieri (Tom), Christine Tomazic (Nick), and Stephanie Williams (Olen); 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Delmer Wolff.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosalin (nee Knebel); his parents and 6 siblings.
Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Avon Lake United Church of Christ 32801 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
Friends may call for a visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. Services will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00am with a 10:00am - 11:00am visitation at Avon Lake United Church of Christ 32801 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake, OH 44012. www.buschcares.com 440.933.3202
