Letha Lingren Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeLozier Funeral Service on Jul. 2, 2024.
A time of visitation and remembering the life of Letha M. Lingren will be from 5-7 in the chapel at DeLozier Funeral Service on Friday, July 12, 2024, with family there to receive friends. A memorial service will follow starting at 7:00 p.m. Letha passed away at her home on Sunday, June 30, 2024, with her husband at her side. She was 78.
Born in Nowata, OK on July 11, 1945, to Clifford and Mildred (Bigham) Woods. Letha was raised and educated in Delaware, OK and attended Delaware Public Schools. In Miami, OK on February 13, 1971, Letha married the love of her life Jerry Lingren. Their marriage was gifted with six children. Letha devoted her entire life to caring for her husband and children. She faithfully ended each day by reading and studying God's Word.
Letha was known for her talents in the kitchen. She was an excellent cook and even owned her own bakery for a time. Jerry referred to his wife as "My Girl" and said she never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She had a kind heart and was accommodating to others. Letha helped reduce the family budget by always having a large vegetable garden and canning the fruits of her labor. When free time did present itself, she liked to crochet and fish a little. Letha enjoyed travel and her favorite destinations were where her children were living at the time.
A lady that has left a huge footprint and legacy."Letha is survived by her husband of 53 years Jerry, children, Anthony Woods and wife Kristi, Truman Lingren and wife Julie, Sheli Young and husband Mike, Angela Bayless, Jerra Lingren and husband Chris, and Jennifer Lingren, grandchildren, William Young and wife Sarah, Steven Young and wife Aimee, Joel Woods, Rebekah Morales and husband Oscar, Caleb Woods, Darien Hicks, Grey Hicks, Dakota Lingren, and Coleman Bayless and wife Sabrina, great grandchildren, Alexander, Luca, Liam, Lyric, and Penelope, sisters, Wilma Woods and Kathryn Luttrell.
