Leticia Guerena Martínez 8 de septiembre de 1940 – 12 de mayo de 2025 Leticia Guerena Martínez, querida madre, abuela y amiga, falleció pacíficamente el 12 de mayo de 2025 a la edad de 84 años. Nacida en Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México, el 8 de septiembre de 1940, Leticia emigró a Los Ángeles en 1962 para comenzar una nueva etapa en su vida. Se mudó a vivir con su hermana Mercedes a Montebello, California, donde más tarde conoció al amor de su vida, Jorge Martínez, mientras asistía a la escuela nocturna en la preparatoria Garfield. Se casaron en 1969 y construyeron una hermosa vida juntos, criando a tres hijos: George Jr., Fernando y Eddie. Leticia fue una dedicada ama de casa cuya mayor alegría fue criar a sus hijos y crear un hogar cálido y amoroso. Se dedicó a asegurar que sus hijos tuvieran mejores oportunidades que ella, y atesoró cada momento compartido con Jorge, su esposo y compañero durante más de 40 años, hasta su fallecimiento en 2010. También disfrutaba del tiempo con sus amigos y encontraba gran alegría en la risa y el amor de sus seis nietos: Alyssa, Georgie, Jocelyn, Eileen, Paulina y Kennedy. Leticia Guerena Martinez September 8, 1940 – May 12, 2025 Leticia Guerena Martinez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico on September 8, 1940, Leticia immigrated to Los Angeles in 1962 to begin a new chapter of her life. She came to live with her sister Mercedes in Montebello, California, where she later met the love of her life, Jorge Martinez, while attending night school at Garfield High School. They married in 1969 and built a beautiful life together, raising three sons-George Jr., Fernando, and Eddie. Leticia was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was raising her children and creating a warm, loving home. She dedicated herself to ensuring her children had better opportunities than she had, and she treasured every moment spent with Jorge, her husband and partner of more than 40 years, until his passing in 2010. She also enjoyed time with friends and found great joy in the laughter and love of her six grandchildren: Alyssa, Georgie, Jocelyn, Eileen, Paulina, and Kennedy. Leticia's legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness will live on through the family she nurtured and the lives she touched.
