Ella Levenia Sosebee McMichen passed away peacefully with her children by her side at Manor Lake Assisted Living Center on Monday, March 24, 2025. She lived her entire life in the Burnt Hickory community of Paulding County, but she touched many near and far during her 94 years.
Levenia was born June 30, 1930 as the twelfth child of William Lawrence Sosebee and Ollie Ledford Edison Sosebee. She was a proud graduate of Dallas High School in 1948, and enjoyed many reunions and events with the 48 Gang. She married Orlando "Pete" McMichen in 1948, and stayed by his side for 54 years until his death in 2002. She was a homemaker who raised their four children, and a loving Nanny to their five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards and traveling. However, everyone knew that above all, she loved Jesus and was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and cherished friends. Her greatest desires were to get to her Heavenly Home and that all of her family would one day be there with her.
Levenia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children: Aurelia (Ray) McDonald, Charlotte (Steve Rakestraw), Joyce Paris, Kenneth (Connie) McMichen; her grandchildren Jana (Clint) Stegall, Stephenie (Todd) Pope, Kristy (Mark) Helms, Justin (Chelsey) Paris, Kaleb McMichen; her great-grandchildren Morgan (Kevin) Duncan, Ashlee (Hunter) Woods, Alexis (Micah) Cassady, Annee (Matt) Stone, Madalyn Helms, Ethan Helms, Nash Paris, Kennedy Paris, Whitley Paris; her great-great grandchildren Charlotte Duncan, Brenton Woods, Callahan Cassady, Bentlee Ella Stone, Hayes Duncan, Boone Woods; and several nieces and nephews.
