Levi Laney Walker, Sr., 93, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born in Iuka, Mississippi, on April 22, 1932, to the late Eugene and Nancy Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Laney Walker, Jr.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa (Mark) Wright, LaJuana (Tim) Reed; grandchildren, Amanda (Jonathan) Smith, John (Mary) Wright, Clark (Kira) Wright, Hope (Jordan) Tallent, Joshua Reed, Patrick (Sharon) Reed, LeFaith (Dean) Gentry; out of a family of 15 children, he is survived by three sisters, Joy Smith, Florine Walker, Ollie Walker; several great-grandchildren also survive.
Levi proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved to talk to people and share memories of his days in the Air Force. He was a storyteller and would talk about his family and his childhood. He was also a prankster and always had a trick up his sleeve. He was a member of Resaca Assembly of God.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Hall Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Joshua Reed, John Wright, Clark Wright, William Trosclair, Dean Gentry, and Jonathan Smith.
