Lewis Courtright Obituary
Lewis was born on December 22, 1944, in Cisne, IL. to Guy and Mildred (McCracken) Courtright. He married Sandra T. (Gilbert) Courtright, February 14, 1980, in Wayne City, IL. she preceded him in death on May 14, 1998.
He then met Vicki (Mix) Courtright when you saw one of them, you knew the other was not far behind, they went everywhere together. They had shared 26 years together till his passing.
He retired after working 37 years at Airtex Products in Fairfield, IL., He had also worked in the oil field. He was always busy tinkering or doing something. He served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. Lewis enjoyed spending time with his family, especially being with his grandchildren and attending their activities.
Lewis is survived by his wife Vicki (Mix) Courtright of Cisne, IL; a son Curtis (Heather) Courtright of Cisne IL; two grandchildren Iris and Briar Courtright; sister Gladys (Karel) Smith of Decatur, IL; his brother Gary Courtright of Waters, MI; Brother-in-law Fred (Dana) Gilbert of Fairfield, IL; Sister-in-law Janet (Brad) Bryan of Fairfield, IL; Brother-in-law Steve Shapiro of Bakersfield, CA; also survived by extended family Sandra (Henry) Kessler of Ingraham, IL; Pam (Everett) Bissey of Cisne, IL; and shared 4 grown grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sandra T. Courtright, brother, Burvil and sister-in-law (Darlene) Courtright, sister, Janet and brother-in-law (JW) Pyle, his sister-in-law Dorothy Courtright, and Sister-in-law Pat Shapiro.
Visitation: Will be held Monday, February 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne.
Funeral Services: Will be Monday, February 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial: Will follow in Bestow Cemetery in Geff, IL.
