Lewis "Bucky" McBride, 84, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025. Born on June 25, 1940, in Marion to Lewis and Edna (Holland) McBride, Bucky lived a full and meaningful life rooted in service, family, and friendship.
Bucky proudly served the Marion community as a dedicated fireman with the Marion Fire Department for 23 years. His commitment to protecting others was matched only by his humility and unwavering work ethic. Known for his easygoing nature and infectious sense of humor, Bucky was a loyal friend and a familiar face to many throughout the city.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life –especially fishing trips that brought him peace and satisfaction–and he had a passion for collecting all sorts of treasures over the years. Above all else, Bucky delighted in spoiling his beloved wife, Ruby (Alwine) McBride, with whom he shared countless memories and deep companionship. A man of warmth, wit, and quiet strength, Bucky touched many lives with his kindness and loyalty.
Bucky's legacy continues through his loving family. He is survived by his wife Ruby; daughters, Stephanie (Alan) Amirrezvani and Karen McBride; grandchildren, Brooke Delay and Armande Amirrezvani; sisters Mary Frances McBride and Mildred (Jack) Muller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Stephen McBride; and sister, Patty Moon.

Bucky was one of a kind. My memories of him usually include the King of the Hillbillies, Virgil Bullard. Great times, great laughs. Rest In Peace, my friend. My condolences and may his memory be a blessing.
