He was predeceased by his wife, Joan O'Brian Wiggins, mother, Ivodale McLemore; father, James O. Wiggins; and sisters, Marnie Hill, Sandra Stewart, and Sara Jo Forrester.
Lexie served his country as a Gunners Mate 2nd Class in the Navy from 1961 until 1965, and retired from Coca-Cola Bottling in Starkville.
He is survived by sister-in-law, Rose Sitton of Memphis, TN; and brother-in-law, Glen Forrester of Pheba, MS, along with several nieces and nephews, and his many friends and neighbors at Chateau Maroon.
Funeral services will be held at Center Grove Baptist Church, where Lexie was a long-time member, on Friday, September 13, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00, with the service immediately following. Bro. Thad Moore and Bro. Don Parish will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Cliff Wall, Trey Wall, JC Wall, Mike Hill, Wayne Mullen, and Billy Smith.
Memorial donations may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church, 146 Center Grove Rd., Maben, MS 39750 or to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society.
