October 23, 2023, was a day that forever left a huge hole in the Phyfe and Wyant family. Two-month old Liam Terry Eugene Phyfe-Wyant passed away at 10:58 a.m. After doctors at Childrens’ Egleston Hospital of Atlanta confirmed it was S.I.D.S. and life support would continue to fail, Liam was placed in the arms of his heartbroken mother. He gently passed away in the arms of his loving mommy and daddy.
The room was full of his devoted family. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends all showed up for baby Liam. Many, many more would have been there, however unfortunately they live out of state.
Liam was a beautiful, perfect, sweet, baby boy with such a vibrant personality. He loved to watch his family talking to him, hanging on every word. So curious with his big, blue, beautiful eyes. He was so interested and studied everyone and everything going on around him. Not only could you look into those gorgeous eyes and see the intelligence that was there. But while talking and playing and seeing that sweet, loving smile he gave you could see his heart. What a kind, caring, loving, smart soul he was going to grow up to be.
Even at his age all the family could see how inquisitive he was. He would sit and watch movies with his mommy and Go Go with his hands across his chest tapping his little finger and you could see the thought going on in his mind. He loved to make facial expressions and when mommy and daddy or Mimi would laugh at him, he immediately would break out in laughter like he just fooled everyone.
He was the most perfect little boy ever born. All the nurses would come around to visit him because he was such a character. They would talk about him being their favorite.
Liam has left behind a heartbroken family that will never heal. He will never be forgotten, and we just pray that he is in his Papa’s arms now. One day we will see them both again.
