Liberato Mendoza Atienza, 67 years old, of Elk Grove, California passed away on April 16, 2025. Born on December 20, 1957 in San Jose, Batangas, Philippines, he was a devoted husband to his wife Dercylis and a loving father to his children Eunice and John.
Liberato was hard-working and dedicated. He immigrated to the United States in 1989 and worked multiple occupations, most notably as a phlebotomist. He enjoyed listening to music, bike riding, and watching basketball and football.
He is survived by his children Eunice and John, son-in-law Roma, grandchildren Aaron and Nicole, and his older brother Mario, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A viewing, funeral service, and burial will be held on May 6, 2025 at 9AM at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park & Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UC Davis Health Psych Schizophrenia / Bipolar Research, a cause dedicated to helping others with their mental health. https://give.ucdavis.edu/MPSY/SCHIBIP
