Fermina "Lola" Panela Atienza, age 88, passed away on March 17, 2024, in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. She was raised in Mabalacat, Pampanga, with her siblings Reggie, Ofelia, Corazon, Josefina, Boy, Buena, Leonardo, and Nestor. Born to the late Flviano and Genoveva Atienza. In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her late husband of 14 years, Estelito Bondoc.
Before becoming the perfect homemaker, Lola worked at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, as an accounting tech for 20 years. Lola enjoyed starting each day in prayer and thanking her Creator for another blessed day and for her beautiful family. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, crocheting, and spending time with her loved ones. Her favorite place to be, was outside in her garden and watering her immaculate plants.
She leaves behind many survivors including all 4 of her children, Nida English (Paul), Fatima Salvo, Malu Salvo, Michael Salvo (Pearla), and Allan Bondoc (Mangie); grandchildren Donna Mae (Jeremy), Joy (Merland), Daniel (Janine), Grace, Mhica, Bryce (Lauren), Lorenzo (Christina), Preston (Ashley), Miguel, Mitzelle; great-grandchildren AraBella, Danielle, Castiel, Austin, Asher, Brayden, Aeden, Aika, Aziel, E.J., and Casie.
Please join us for a celebration of life service on Saturday, April 27th, at Bethany Baptist Church (4N. Bethany Rd, McDonough, GA 30252) Visitation with the family between 1:30 - 2:00PM followed by a service. For all who would like to attend hors doeuvres will be served following the service.
For those who wish, as an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the transportation of Lola to her final resting place in the Philippines will be greatly appreciated.
