Lillian Fay McFarland, age 80, of Signal Mountain went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 27, 2024 at Parkridge Medical Center.
In her fulfilling life, she enjoyed Shopping on the QVC shopping channel, volunteering for The United Way, but most of all she Loved spending time with her family, her cats, and her beloved Pomeranians: "Cookie", "Sissy", "Blondie", and "Sable".
She retired from AT&T after 29 years as a Service Representative. After retirement, she went back to school at Chattanooga State Community College where she studied Medical Coding. She passed the state of Tennessee exam and was certified as a Medical Coder of which she was very proud.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Elizabeth W. Adamson; her maternal grandparents, Melmoth and Thelma (Mama) Wingo; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elisha H and Gladys M McFarland Sr; along with her sister, Inez McCardell; and brothers-in-law, Bill McCardell and Wayne Hodge; and several aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Elisha H. McFarland Jr.; daughter, Rebecca F. Rogers; son, Elisha H. "Nick" McFarland III; and stepson, Christopher H.(Xiaohong Zhang) McFarland; sisters, Kay Hodge and Paulette (Jimmy) Thurman; brother, Greg (Louise) Adamson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Seals Todd and Sebastion McFarland; great-grandson, Tyler J. Todd along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Celebration of Life visitation is 3:00-8:00 Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
