Norton - Lillian (DeAmaral) Pierce, affectionately known as Lil to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on Monday,August 25, 2025. Born on September 13, 1937, in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, Lil was the cherished daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Camara) DeAmaral. Her warmth and kind spirit were a beacon of light for all who knew her.
Lil's legacy is carried on through her loving family. She was a devoted mother to Brian Pierce of Norton, Susan Pierce of New Hampshire, Nancy Morton of Nolensville, TN, and Karen Tischler of Brooklyn, NY. Her guidance and love nurtured a family that revered her as the cornerstone of their lives. Lil was also a beloved sister to Dorothy Moreau of Attleboro, Betty Ireland of Maine, Patricia Rodrigues of Pawtucket, and she was predeceased by her brothers George, Daniel, Manuel, and Joseph DeAmaral. Lil's joy was multiplied as she became the adored grandmother of Nichole Amaral, Tyler Morton, Hannah Morton, and Kyra Tischler. Her nieces and nephews, too numerous to name, were blessed to experience her unconditional love and support.
For over 15 years, Lil made her home in Norton, having previously lived in Seekonk. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, and she was a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Norton. Lil's professional life was marked by over 30 years of diligent service as a computer operator at Texas Instruments. Her expertise and work ethic were equally evident during her time in the computer room at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Lil's interests and hobbies painted the picture of a life well-lived and full of joy. She was an adventurous soul who loved to travel and experience new places. A proud member of the Red Hat Society, Lil embraced the fun and friendship that came with her involvement. Her passion for cooking was one of the many ways she expressed her love for her family, creating meals that were not only nourishing but crafted with care.
Those who knew Lil will remember her as the embodiment of love, kindness, and selflessness. She gave of herself freely and without expectation, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her presence was comfortable, and her guidance a steady hand.
As we mourn the loss of Lillian Pierce, we also celebrate a life that was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
