Lily E. Balboa

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lily E. Balboa on January 15, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on August 17, 1933, Lily was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her loving spirit, strength, and devotion to her family, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Lily was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Balboa, her sons, Alexander Balboa and Alfred Balboa; her siblings, Lola Sanchez, Felipa Stout, Rita Goslin, and Henry Lerma; and her parents, Joaquín Lerma and Tomasa Elizondo.
She is survived by her children, Delphine Balboa Figueroa (Rene), Rene Balboa (James), her siblings Cecilia DeCassan (Gino), and Joe Lerma (Anne), Joaquín Lerma, Jimmy Lerma, and Sammy Lerma. Lily is also survived by three grandchildren; Jennifer Taylor, Jimmy Maseda, Adan Figueroa and six great-grandchildren; Brandon Maseda, Jared Maseda, Marshall Maseda, Lily Taylor, Olivia Taylor and Emma Taylor all of whom brought her immense joy.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca. Rosary at 1:15pm. Funeral Mass to begin at 2pm followed by the burial at the Port Lavaca Cemetery. Gathering at the VFW Hall after the burial.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Adan Figueroa, Marshall Maseda, Jared Maseda, Brandon Maseda, Jimmy Maseda, and Todd Taylor.
Lily's family will remember her for her unwavering love and the cherished memories she created with them. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and strength that will continue to inspire all who loved her.
