Carmichael Whatley Funeral Directors - PampaLinda Austin, 77, of Pampa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025 with her family by her side.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Lee Cornelison officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Linda was born on January 6, 1948 in Littlefield to Leo and Louise Ellison. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1966. Soon after graduation, she followed her high school sweetheart, Richard De Arman, to his military post in Hawaii. Together they would have two daughters, Tonya and Krista. They would move around to different military bases before returning to Pampa in 1970. Although their marriage struggled, they continued their friendship. In 1977, Linda married Fred Dominey and they would have two daughters, Amelia and Amanda.
In 1970, Linda began her 49-year career working at Coney Island. She was the heart of the Coney, making many memories and friendships along the way. Her kind heart and dedication showed to all the customers she served. Linda volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Salvation Army. She loved to help others. Linda was a life-long Baptist.
Linda’s smile was genuine, and her heart was all about helping others. Through the years, she was able to provide a safe space for many family members and friends. Linda would find a way to help them through whatever situation they were going through.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janet Barbee; two brothers, Leon Ellison and Glenn Ellison.
Survivors include her four daughters, Tonya Hess and husband Elvin, Krista Seymour and husband Shawn, Amelia Dominey, and Amanda Orr all of Pampa; her twin sister, Brenda Donelson of Pampa; brother, Jimmy Ellison of Pampa; brother-in-law, Roger Donelson of Rockport; grandchildren, Richard Leal and wife Kyli, Alexander Romero, Maverick Hess, Jonathan Hess, Toby Hess, Zachary Barbee and wife Harley, Maddox Nieto, Michael De Arman, Kelly Cook and husband Robert, Jacob Velasquez and wife Amberly, Matthew Stover, Jazmine Velasquez, Arron Orr, and Kate Orr; and 9 great grandchildren and one on the way; nephews, Rusty Barbee and wife Jenny, Shane Barbee, Glenn Kelley and wife Tammy, Rodney Kelley and wife Anna; niece Michele Mastic and husband Jeff.
Memorial can be made to Meals on Wheels, 302 E Foster Ave, Pampa, TX 79065.
