Linda Brown, 70, of Albion died suddenly on Thursday March 13, 2025 at her home.
She was born June 3, 1954 a daughter to the late Frank and Louise (Coonfer) Chuzie.
Linda graduated from Northwestern High School and was a woman always on the move. This fit well into her years of work as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She had a generous spirit, constantly giving to those around her without hesitation. Hosting family gatherings brought her joy-she loved preparing meals, ensuring guests left with smiles and boxes of food.
Linda took great pride in her yard, creating new flower gardens whenever she could and tending to them throughout the summer. She maintained a vegetable and very abundant red raspberry garden that she used to create wonderful baked goods for family and friends. Trips to Lake Erie were a highlight of each summer, where she enjoyed collecting beach glass and frolicking in the sand with her granddaughters.
She remained close with a group of high school friends, meeting with them faithfully each month. Above all, Linda had a deep love for her grandchildren, whom she cherished as if they were her own daughters. When her children were young, she was their biggest cheerleader both on and off the field. She often joined them on fishing trips, especially enjoying walks along Conneaut Creek near their home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Daniel Z. Clark; sister, Patricia White and sister-in-law Jennifer Chuzie.
She will be greatly missed by her family which include her high school sweet heart and husband, William E. Brown Jr. whom she married on May 10, 1975; sons, Joseph Brown (Jennifer), Jason Brown (Brandie), William N. Brown (Kaylyn); sister, Nancy Zarecky (Gary); brothers, Ken Chuzie (Roberta) and Larry Chuzie; grandchildren, Raegen and Avery Brown and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cranesville or East Springfield Volunteer Fire Departments.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Edder Family Funeral Home LLC. 309 Main St. E. Girard. A Funeral Service will be held there the following day, Wednesday, at 10:00 am. Private burial will be held at Springfield Cemetery.
