WEAVERVILLE – June Guthrie Clark, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
June was born on September 13, 1946, in Buncombe County where she had lived most all her life. She was a 1964 graduate of North Buncombe High School. She retired from Buncombe County Schools, and enjoyed reading, working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Troy and Irma Fox Guthrie. Also preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Guthrie and Marcia Roberts.
Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Gordon and husband, Kevin of Dallas, Georgia and Tina Taylor and husband, Anthony of Canton, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Devon Taylor and fiancé Kelsey Moore, and Danielle Taylor, Lauren Elle and husband Aaron, and Zach Gordon; three great grandchildren, Jaxon Taylor, River Taylor and Ransom Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Marshall with the Reverend Phillip Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 6, 2025, at West Funeral Home, Weaverville.
