Linda Dennis Obituary

Born on September 26, 1946 in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Geraldine (Davis) Ryan.
Linda graduated from Medina High School in 1964 and in 1966; she graduated from the University of Canton with a degree in Secretarial Science. She married the late Gary E. Dennis on July 8, 1967, together making their home in Medina and raising two children. Linda served as Secretary to the Superintendent and Clerk of the Board for the Medina School System for over 30 years. She enjoyed her time working with the staff and children over the years. In her spare time Linda enjoyed crafting and sewing and was a 30 year vendor in the Medina Craft Co-op and currently as a vendor at Filomena's Favorites.
Linda is survived by her two children, Scot Dennis and his fiancée, Janet Desmann of Rochester, NY, and Amy Wood of Medina, NY; four grandchildren, Matthew and Corey Dennis; Ryan and Abigail Wood; two siblings, Kenny (Grace) Ryan of Medina, NY, Barry Ryan of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 10 -12 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 12 NOON. Burial will be in the West Ridgeway Cemetery, Medina, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linda's name to 4H-Orleans County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 12690 NY-31, Albion, NY 14411.

Linda Dennis was a treasure. I am so sad to learn of her passing. She was one of those people who brightened up your day. She was smart, kind, gracious, creative, efficient and humble. Linda had a gift for crafts. When I started the Continuing Education Program at Medina, I asked Linda if she would consider teaching a craft class. She accepted willingly and invariably came up with the most clever and appealing projects to suit the season. Everyone loved her and everyone loved her ideas. Even the least gifted of her students managed to produce a beautiful project because Linda had spent so much time at home completing the more difficult parts of the project. The student then had only to follow a few simple directions to be finished! Teacher and student went home feeling very happy. Rest in peace, Linda. You will never be forgotten.
