Linda L. Fisher, 72, of County Route 191, passed away Thursday evening, January 2nd, at her home.
She was born October 11, 1952, in Sidney, NY, daughter of Harold and Leah Nichols Dillenbeck,
She graduated from Unadilla High School and later attended Broome Community College.
Linda worked as an accountant for Owego National Bank, which later became Chemung Canal Trust Company, based in Elmira, NY.
She married Joseph F. Fisher on April 25, 1992, in Owego, NY. The couple moved to their home on Wellesley Island to live year-round on January 2, 2001.
She served as treasurer for the Wellesley Island Fire Department for over ten years and loved working in her flower garden around her many gnomes.
Besides her husband Joe, she is survived by a son, Jason D. Allen, Apalachin, NY, two grandchildren, Damien and Makayla Allen, and two sisters, Donna and Sharon. She was predeceased by four brothers, Chuck, Tom, Harold and John.
Graveside services will be private at Evergreen Cemetery, Unadilla, NY.
Memorial donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Wellesley Island Fire Department, 45767 County Rte. 100, Wellesley Island, NY 13640 or to Hospice of Jefferson County at jeffersonhospice.org.
