COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Linda Kay Flatt, a cherished resident of Cookeville, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Signature Health Care in Cookeville. Born on April 25, 1950, in Cookeville, she lived a life rich in family, passion, and community.
Linda, a proud graduate of Upperman High School in 1968, devoted much of her life to nurturing those around her. Together with her husband, she built a successful painting business, where her dedication to her work was matched only by her affection for her family. Linda was known for her vibrant spirit and her unwavering support for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
A true fan of the University of Tennessee sports program, Linda’s enthusiasm for her team was infectious, and she enjoyed sharing this passion with family and friends, fostering many joyful memories along the way.
She is survived by her son, Michael Bartlett (Stacie Barclay); her brother, Glen Stockton (Vickie); sister-in-law, Anna Harrison; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews, including Tracie Fowler (Steve), Teri Harrison, and Christopher Stockton (Kristina). Linda's legacy also extends to her grandchildren Gavin Bartlett and Ty Bartlett along with her great-grandchildren, Katie Beth Bartlett and Shipley Bartlett, who brought abundant joy to her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Mildred Siler Stockton, and her brother, Bill Harrison.
A visitation to honor Linda’s memory will be held on Thursday, February 27 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home.
Linda Kay Flatt will forever be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey.
