Ms. Racey was born May 26, 1946, in Woodstock VA, daughter of the late Roland Will and Pauline Clem Fravel. She worked as a secretary for Winchester Building Supply and was employed at the Aileen Plant in Edinburg. She was a member of the Strasburg Moose Lodge #403 and was active in the Relay for Life of Shenandoah County.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Lee Racey, whom she married on April 7, 1972; sons, James Halterman (Jennifer) of Quicksburg, John Halterman (Dawn) of Woodstock; grandchildren, Heather Hodson, Emily Halterman, Alexis Halterman, Jacob Halterman, Justin Halterman, Noella Manns, Bradley Boyce, and Tanner Boyce; great grandchildren, Tinleigh Halterman, Christian Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda loved frog figurines, if you ever visited with her you could tell! She was an avid cat lover and was known to dropper feed several newborn kittens in her time. She also loved traveling and listening to her husband play gospel and blue grass music for many years. She also enjoyed her yearly trips to the Outer Banks with her brother Jeff and his wife.
