Linda Kay Garofalo, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 82. Born on February 26, 1943, in Akron, OH, Linda's life was marked by her intelligence, creativity, and her ability to make the ordinary extraordinary.

Linda's professional journey was as unique and stylish as she was. For many years, she lent her creative talents to Ethan Allen as a designer, where she helped countless clients curate one-of-a-kind pieces that transformed their houses into homes. Her artistic flair didn't stop there; Linda also worked as a makeup artist for Estee Lauder, where she brought out the inner beauty of those she touched with her skilled hands and warm conversation.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Linda was a woman of many interests. She had a passion for shopping, always on the hunt for the perfect item to add to her or a loved one's life. Her dexterity extended to the digital realm, where she enjoyed playing games on her iPad, often sharing her high scores and new favorite apps with her family and friends. Linda's hands were rarely still, as she found joy in sewing and various other crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her personal touch.

A gifted hostess, Linda loved to cook and entertain, bringing people together over meals that were as delicious as they were memorable. Her home was a hub of warmth and laughter, where every guest felt like family.

Linda's legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her daughter, Kim Christine Nelson, married to Ronald "Bear" Berman; her son, Eric William Nelson; her grandson, Nicholas Scott Williams; her brother, Jerry Woda, married to Shar Woda; and her sister, Cheryl Hovan. Linda also leaves behind her niece, Emily Woda, and nephews; Jonathan Woda, and Tyler Hovan. Each of them will hold onto the memories of Linda's interesting stories, her intelligent advice, and the creative spirit that she shared so generously.

Linda's life was a tapestry of love, artistry, and connection. Those who knew her will remember her as a woman who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on the world around her. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Linda Kay Garofalo's story is one of a life well-lived, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
