Linda was born July 25, 1955 in Scottsboro, Alabama to parents, William Franklin and Edith McLemore O'Neal. She worked a number of years as a paper carrier for Chattanooga News Free Press in addition to being a wonderful mother to her children.
Survivors include husband, Carl E. Guffey Jr., children, Michael Guffey(Sara), Shawn Guffey(Kim), Terry Clark(Doug), nephew, Brent Staton, daughter-in-law, Jody Talley, grandchildren, Dani Pannell(Logan), Hali Guffey, Shawn Guffey, Kevin Guffey, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Carl E. "Bud" Guffey III, twin sister, Brenda Staton, siblings, William Franklin O'Neal Jr., Ruth Harding and aunt, Frances Pockrus.
