Linda I. Heitzman, 79, of Germantown Hills, IL, passed away at 7:05 am on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the University of Chicago Medicine, Chicago, IL.
She was born on August 27, 1943, in Lincoln, IL, to James E. and Hester (Hubner) Ware. She married Bruce L. Heitzman on August 27, 1961 in Atlanta, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Bruce of Germantown Hills; children, Denice (David) Prather of Germantown Hills, Diana (Dale) Greenhalgh of Metamora, and Gayle (Brian) Malcome of Germantown Hills; grandchildren, Joshua (Marcie) Prather, Scott (Anna) Prather, Brittany (Maksim) Belousov, Gretchen (Matt) Lindow, Nicholas (Marissa) Greenhalgh, Daniel (Desireé) Greenhalgh, Zachariah Greenhalgh, and Ashley Brown; thirteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Karl (Julia) Ware of Beason, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Alta Bruns.
Linda had worked at CILCO in administration. She was a member of Bayview Baptist Church in Washington, IL. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and volunteering at her church. Everything Linda touched she did very well. She loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Keith Thibo officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
