Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton and Low Country Memorial GardensLinda Gardner Hogshead, 78, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred J. Hogshead and a devoted mother to Gus Hogshead of Charlotte, NC; Shannon McDonald of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and Fred Hogshead of Okatie, SC. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Gardner of Buckeye, Arizona; five cherished grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many dear friends who treasured her kindness and joyful spirit.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Gardner of Rockingham, NC.
For more than twenty years, Linda worked in the banking industry, where her professionalism and genuine care for others left a lasting impression. After stepping away from her career, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her children and creating a warm, loving home.
Linda’s bright spirit was contagious—she was always smiling, always helping, and always finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to Shag on Ocean Drive and could light up any room with her laughter and energy.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Sauls Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor a remarkable woman whose love, laughter, and positivity touched everyone she met.
