Kernersville – Linda Jo Hester Parrish, 83, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Bermuda Run Assisted Living. She was born on July 2, 1940, in Forsyth County to the late Tucker Andrew and Margie Pegram Hester. Linda Jo was a dedicated member of church; where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. She was loving to her family and giving to her friends and community. Linda Jo was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by so many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Justice James Parrish.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jeff Parrish (Janice); daughter, Jill Potts (Landon); three grandchildren, Cody Parrish (Hailey), Katie Grooms (Koty), and Sophie; three great grandchildren, Waylon, Skylar, and Presley Jo; and brother, Mike Hester (Ann).
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, June 14, 2024, at Goodwill Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Mullis officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Children’s Home of NC P.O. Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
