Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home - KingsportLinda Joy (Damron) Fisher, 82, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord, peacefully, after a lengthy illness on November 12, 2025. Linda was born and raised in Sharon, TN, and attended Sharon High School. Following high school Linda worked as a seamstress in a garment factory. She ultimately landed in Morristown, TN, where she worked in sales in the construction field. In 1996, Linda reconnected with a childhood friend, Jim Fisher. They married in 1998 and made their home in Kingsport, TN. She was extremely involved in her church, Northeast Church of Christ. Linda was incredibly talented and was an amazing cook. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to all of her family and a true soul mate to Jim.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Dorothy Damron; and grandson-in-law, Jason White.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jim Fisher; sons, Scotty Riggs and Greg Riggs (Martha); grandchildren, Tyler Riggs, Hunter Riggs (Jaci), Chynna Riggs, Clint Riggs (Kristin), Ashley Rogers (Jon), and Lauren White; great-grandchildren, Asher Riggs, Keiton Riggs, Knox Riggs, Marshall Riggs, Michael Riggs, Miller Riggs, Martin Riggs, Riggs Leonard, Caroline White, and Charlie White; step-children, Andy Fisher (Jennifer), Mike Fisher (Jamie), and Beth Fisher Smith; step-grandchildren, Foard Fisher, Stella Fisher, Grayson Fisher, Hannah Smith, and Matthew Smith; and brothers, Gary Damron and Jimmy Damron (Robbie).
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Northeast Church of Christ. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm with Jay Cline, Minister officaiting.
