Linda Ann Kolev (née Berens), age 65, of Montgomery, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 28, 2025.
Linda lived a life marked by undeniable faith, loyal service, and unwavering love. She was deeply devoted to her church, where she joyfully served in various ministries including singing in the choir. At home, she found great joy in hosting family gatherings, tending to her beautiful garden, preparing special holiday dishes, and creating lasting memories with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her children, Richard (Rachel) Kolev and Christina (Anthony) Oraham; and her beloved grandchildren, Albanie Grino, Liliana Kolev, Penelope Oraham, Clark Kolev, Zechariah Oraham, Zion Oraham, and Evangeline Oraham. She is also survived by her siblings, David (Carrie) Berens and Amy (Michael) Wittersheim; and her nieces and nephews, Michael (Erin) Berens, Rebecca (Eric) Strotman, Ryan Wittersheim, Amanda Wittersheim, and Devin Berens. She cherished being a great-aunt to Abram and Remi-Rose Strotman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Arlene Berens.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 8:00 till time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Dunn Family Funeral Home, 1801 Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL 60503. A luncheon will follow at Valley Baptist Church.
Linda will be remembered for her generous spirit, her warm hospitality, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She will also be remembered for her devotion to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching others how to have the assurance of eternal life. Her purpose in life was to help people understand how they could be saved and know for certain they had a home in heaven.
