Linda LaFrance Obituary

Linda Elizabeth LaFrance
Linda Elizabeth LaFrance, 78, wife of the late Edward H. LaFrance, Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at MidState Medical Center. Born in Meriden, Connecticut on June 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Veronica Gostyla.
Linda was a lifetime Meriden resident. She retired from the Town of Southington Building Department. She was a parishioner of St. Bridget of Sweden Church of Cheshire and St. Stanislaus Church of Meriden. Linda was an avid baker and gardener. She enjoyed playing card games with her family and was a UConn Basketball fan. She will be greatly missed by her beloved cat, Lucy.
She is survived by her son, Edward H. LaFrance III and his wife, Heather; her daughter, Susan Long and her husband, Gregg; and her five beloved grandchildren, Edward H. LaFrance IV, Jacob Long, Julianna Long, Connor LaFrance and Alexis LaFrance. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Gostyla.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at MidState Medical Center for their compassionate care.
Family and friends are invited to call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450, on Friday, January 16th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17th at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at a later date. For online condolences, please visit jferryfh.com.

So sorry to learn of Linda´s passing. I worked w Linda at Town of Southington and we had a lot of laughs and discussions olf our families. May she rest in peace
